What does it mean to be beautiful? We are constantly surrounded by media images on what the standard is of beauty. So what does it really mean to be beautiful? Do you need to have long wavy hair, with big eyes, a small nose, full lips and a barbie doll figure? Do we need to have clear, perfect glowing skin? Do we need to have perky breasts, a round bottom, and no extra body fat? Everything we are told about what it is to be beautiful  are categorized into physical characteristics.  What about inner beauty? The saying ‘beauty is in the eyes of the beholder’ is one of my favorites. A person can have all of the “right” features, but can be the meanest person you know. Haven’t you ever met someone who may not have been as attractive at first, but once you got to know them they suddenly became more attractive to you? Someone who is truly beautiful on the inside will radiate that beauty on the outside. I think we should not be as worried about what we look like, but how we treat others. Beauty is also perceived by how we carry ourselves. If you are insecure, and you carry yourself like you have low self esteem, people will pick up on that negative energy and therefore may form negative opinions about you. If you have confidence in yourself and carry yourself with pride, then you will give out that positive energy and people will notice. There are several ways you can boost your self esteem. One way is to live a healthy lifestyle. By exercising and eating right, you not only will become healthier, but you will also notice positive changes in your body and this will make you more confident about showing it off. A little makeup never hurts either. By using makeup to enhance your features, not mask them, you can draw out your natural beauty and make yourself feel more beautiful. You can also help to boost your self esteem by what you wear. Choose clothing that fits you right and shows your natural shape and curves. Don’t hide behind too big, frumpy clothes. Remember, you are your own worst critic. Every woman is uniquely beautiful. By living a healthy lifestyle, having a positive self image, and being a genuinely good person, you will finally feel as beautiful as you truly are!

Sensuality- To me, sensuality means being comfortable in your own skin and embracing all 5 senses to the fullest. Like Justina mentioned above, being proud to be a woman. Here are some of my body care tips to look and feel sexy!

 

Exfoliating

The secret to beautiful skin all over is exfoliation and moisturizing!

Try Dry Brushing. .It helps remove dead skin, increasing circulation and helps your body detox by stimulating the lymphatic system.

Start with a Natural Bristle Brush. Do this invigorating routine  before getting into the shower or bath. Start with your feet, moving in soft circular movements (always moving towards the heart) first on the bottom of the feet, and then on the top. The do the arms, back and abdomen. Do not dry brush the face. For best results dry brush at least two times a week.

Aromatherapy Bath

Cleopatra was famous for her beautiful skin. The Queen of the nile had a n amazing  beauty secret: She soaked in baths of fresh milk. The lactic acid in milk is an alpha hydroxy acid helps dissolve the dead skin leaving it soft and supple. Milk can cleanse the skin down to its deepest layers.

This secret beauty formula couldn’t be simpler. Add 2 to 4 cups of fresh milk and  to the bathwater. Powdered milk can also be used.

As the tub is filling. Add 10 drops of pure essential oil right before you get in.Close the door and Soak for a good 20 minutes. Pure Essential Oils can naturally relax away tension, anxiety, relax you deeply, detoxify and much more.

Recommendations

  1. Eat foods that are easy to digest. Easy-to-digest foods and smart food combinations move through the body smoothly and quickly, energizing the body rather than slowing it down. They usually have high water content such as sweet potatoes and other vegetables and fruit.

2.    Stay away from foods that are mucus forming. This includes: packaged processed foods, pasteurized cow dairy, soy products, and all manner of fake meat products. Consuming gluey, mucus-forming substances increases acidity and slows digestion, which is not good for our health overall. Check out our Recipes page for some healthy choices.

3.    Drink water. Drinking plenty of Water is vital. It has one of the most important roles to play in maintaining a healthy body and some of its benefits include: Metabolism, Detoxification, PH Balance, Kidney Function, and skin health.
